O God, Who dost gladden us
with the yearly festival of blessed Cecilia,
Thy Virgin and Martyr,
grant that we who honor her during the Holy Mass,
may also follow the example of her godly life.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son,
Who liveth and reigneth with Thee
in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God,
world without end.
