O God, through the intercession of St. Maximilian Kolbe, I ask for the strength and courage to seek the guidance and support I need in order to regain control of my life. I acknowledge how harmful this addiction is to my physical health, how damaging to my relationships and dangerous to my spiritual well-being, and I realize that I cannot overcome it by myself. I need God’s help. I ask also for the opportunity to repair broken relationships, especially with (mention names).

When my path to recovery presents greater challenges, be my mainstay; teach me to strengthen my resolve with the consoling truth of the Lord’s unchangeable love for me and his fidelity to his promises. Amen.
