Holy Lord, Father almighty, eternal God,
be so kind as to bless this bread
with Your holy spiritual blessing.
May it be, to all that eat of it,
health of both mind and body.
May it be a guard against all illnesses
and all snares of the enemy,
through Jesus Christ our Lord, Your Son,
the Living Bread that comes down from heaven
and gives life and salvation to the world,
and who lives and is King and God with You
in the unity of the Holy Spirit for ever and ever.
